MPSTMA.DEMO.DAY.SET FOR JULY 25 IN SAVAGE

At this point, we ask that you just mark your calendar for Wed., July 25 for the 1st MPSTMA Demo Day. Registration and more information will be forthcoming.



The event will be held in Savage from 9 am - 1pm.

Vendors are encouraged to bring equipment to demo on natural and synthetic turf or any other equipment you'd like to market to this audience. Cost is $100 per vendor.

Attendance for general members will be free. A lunch will be included. More information soon.

JOIN US FOR MPSTMA NETWORK DAY AT THE VIKINGS NEW TCO PERFORMANCE CENTER JUNE 27




On Wed., June 27, members from of the Minnesota Park and Sports Turf Managers Association will have an opportunity to spend a few hours touring the Minnesota Vikings new TCO Performance Center in Eagan. MPSTMA member Grant Davisson of the Minnesota Vikings will host the event.

This event will be in place of a 2018 MPSTMA Tour on Wheels. Members will be asked to drive themselves to and from the facility.

Attendance fee is $25.

CHAPTER CLASH SET
JULY 13 IN LA CROSSE

Turf Managers from Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin will meet on Friday, July 13 in La Crosse, WI at the 2018 Chapter Clash Golf Tournament which will be played at Forest Hills Public Golf Course.

An opportunity to stay overnight in La Crosse and tour the UW/La Crosse campus and a local brewery is available to those who participate in the golf tournament.

If you would like to participate in the golf tournament, contact Chapter Clash Chair Mike McDonald CSFM
or the MPSTMA business office. Tournament format is a 2-person Scramble. You also can golf and not participate in the tournament.

MTGF.Donates.$134,715.Towards
Turf & Grounds Research in MN


The Minnesota Turf and Grounds Foundation is proud to announce that it is donating $134,715 towards Minnesota Turf and Grounds research. Since 1992, the Minnesota Turf and Grounds Foundation has donated $1,484,041 towards turf and grounds research.
For
March, the MTGF Board of Directors approved four funding requests at its March Board Meeting. The Board approved a donation of $65,000 towards TROE Center operations at its March Board Meeting. The Board feels the continued research is a major benefit for Minnesota turf managers. The Board approved a MTGF donation of $49,715 towards Teaching, Research, and Outreach Programs at the Urban Forestry, Outreach, Research & Extension (UFore) Nursery and Lab. The MTGF Board approved a $5,000 for students at the University of Minnesota/Crookston to pursue a Pre-Game Agronomic Field Safety Assessment for Sports Fields: Future Implications of Risk Management. The MTGF Board approved a donation of $15,000 for Tree Trust's Green Teens program. This program will place teenagers as interns at Green Industry related companies.

Would you like to participate in the event?
MPSTMA members annually renovate a sports field
in Minnesota typically in September. If you'd like to gain
experience building a mound, batter's box and see all the
aspects of producing a great playing field, or if you just
want to help spruce up a local community's field,
you should join the CSP team!
